Martell is known as one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Vinschgau Valley. It is part of the Stilfser Joch National Park.
The Valley is also known as the "Strawberry Valley“ because of the many fields where the tasty berries are cultivated.
Hiking and ski touring are among the most common activities in the area. Furthermore there are the possibilities for Nordic skiing, biathlon, snowshoeing, Nordic walking, climbing and mountain biking.
The hiking trails are well developed and marked for people of any hiking ability.
